Why Sikh women are not allowed to do Kirtan there? What about equality?

Everytime I visit The Golden Temple, the emotions and feelings I experience cannot be described in words. The unmatched beauty, the meaning, the reasons why we are here. The list is endless.
As much as there is an unequalled pride in the way I feel, how can ine go to such a rich religious, cultured, historic place and not be overcome with emotion. To mention that I am overwhelmed is an understatement.
Even people that live in Punjab - or Amritsar itself say that they feel the same way.
How did you feel when you first set eyes on the beautiful Golden Temple?
How do you feel everytime you are there?
How does it feel to bathe in the holy waters of the Sarovar?
