Welcome to New to Sikhi community
We at Mata Tripta Darbar are proud to be supporting LGBT+ Sikhs nationwide with our monthly meetup in Birmingham, UK.
Mata Tripta Darbar is an independent darbar in Erdington, and we are here to serve Sangat in the spirit of Ek Ong Kar and the footsteps of Guru Nanak: All is One. We do not differentiate on account of colour, caste, creed, gender, sexuality or any other label. All are welcome, Sikh and seeker alike.

Lots of Love,
As per the Sikh Code of Conduct, the only sexual orientation that is acceptable is the heterosexual relationship that too within the parameters of marriage.
There is no passage in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib that condemns anyone on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender or any other distinction, for that matter.
The document we call Rehat Maryada (Sikh living guidelines) is a historical document that has changed over periods of time and been refashioned by religious collectives long after the Gurus' time. The current Rehat was in fact stipulated in the 1930's, if I remember correctly. And during that process many spiritual leaders within the Sikh community walked out and refused to be part of that process.
It is good to take these things with a pinch of salt. Do not get discouraged if other people quote rules and their personal interpretations at you. You are beautiful just the way you are.
WE WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS.
There is no higher or lower in the Guru's eyes. We're all invited to come to the Guru's Door.
Lots of Love,
