Sat Siri Akaal!

Mata Tripta Darbar in Erdington, Birmingham, England is a centre for spiritual development, education and training in the Sikh tradition. The Centre is named after the mother of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who was the founder of the Sikh religion.

We are a small, independent Gurdwara with a focus on inclusivity. Everyone is welcome at Mata Tripta, and everyone is welcome to participate in any seva (selfless service) they like, be it kirtan (devotional singing), chaur seva (whisking), reading out the hukamnama (random wisdom reading from the Guru), giving out the Prashaad (blessed sweet treat), or any other bit of service around.

We do our programs in English, and see every service and program as a co-creation among participants. This is a safe space to come and learn more about Sikhi and to go deeper into the experience of Gurbani. Questions are encouraged and welcomed!

We invite you to come to our weekly Sunday program, starting 11am every Sunday. We chant the Japji Sahib, chant and meditate and share in a meal together afterwards. Bring your children along!

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Saranpreet Kaur: or mobile: 07575756765.

We hope to see you at Mata Tripta!
