When I am baptised into Sikhism, is it possible for me to get a Sikh name as well? If so, what are some nice names that you would suggest?

Yes,you can have and You SHOULD have a sikh name

First and foremost, you would have to suffix KAUR in your name as that was made compulsory by the tenth sikh guru,GURU GOBIND SINGH JI .Kaur means PRINCESS.

Then if you want suggestions regarding your first name ,a few good names for sikh girls are

SIMRAN KAUR

GURSIMAR KAUR

JASLEEN KAUR

Hi Tamara,

When one get's baptized, the Five Beloved Ones will take a Hukamnama from Guru Granth Sahib. The first letter of the first word is used to give you a Sikh name. I am not too familiar with the 3HO concept of a spiritual name, but the Sikh way is if you do not have a Sikh name to begin with, then the Five Beloved Ones will give you a letter from which they will suggest new names you can choose from.

I hope this helps.
