It's amazing how quickly time flies by. I still remember that snowy evening when idea of creating community for New Sikhs came to my mind. It was my birthday and I was waiting for my dearest to come back home who were stuck in heavy snowfall.
So it wasn't bad idea after all. Since the launch 30.000 people visited NTS. It had 127.000 page views from 120 countries. Although at some point, I was considering closing it down because I could not keep up (I'm a mom and working full time) but how can I just abandon it now?
So now I have bigger plans for it even if it means I’ll have less sleep.
Do you think we need New To Sikhi? Leave me a comment here.
Yours truly, Danka

It can be extremely challenging at times. There are no Gurudwaras around me so I don't have the option of forming any connections with other Sikhs in my day to day life. I find myself watching a lot of videos online about Sikhi and the history of Sikhs. I play the radio stations on Sikhnet a lot and try to converse with ther Sikhs online as much as possible. Hopefully…

A month ago a sikh from the US told me to go to the shabdguru and use this mind-opening technology. Today a sikh acquaintance on facebook told me he had great news - he'd completed a sahej path! Then another facebok sikh told me to "just read the Guru". So it's been hinted at, that it would maybe be a good thing, if I actually read the Guru. So I've decided to read a sahej path, a reading of the Guru from door to door (cover to cover) in a pace that suits me and my knowledge of Gurbani as…

Vaaheguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!
Dear Cyber Sangat Jee,

I have never felt so close to Sangat and to the Guru... I'm still buzzing from it all!…
